Louisiana
With over 180 ground vehicles and 6 helicopters,
Louisiana based Acadian Ambulance Service provides the highest level of pre hospital
emergency care and disaster response to an area covering more than 20,000 square miles.
Texas
Longview Fire Dept, located in Piney Woods RAC of East Texas, was one of the first
EMS/Fire Dept's in America to use the SMART Incident Command System™, since then SMART
Equipment™ has been mandated by Daccas Fort Worth RAC, South West Texas RAC, Deep East Texas
RAC and The Golden Crescent RAC as well as other counties and cities across the Great State of Texas.
Illinois
Illinois standardised their use of SMART MCI Bags™, SMART Commander™ and
SMART Triage Pac™ in November 2007. A two week training programme, educating over
300 trainers was implemented to assist the adoption of our equipment.
New York State

The State of New York chose to adopt the SMART Tag™ as their State Disaster
Triage Tag and the SMART Incident Command System™ as their incident management solution.
Massachusetts
Massachusetts recommended the use of The SMART Triage Pac™ and the SMART Commander™ in October 2007.
Connecticut
2007 saw Connecticut standardise SMART Equipment™ by issuing the SMART Triage Pac™ and SMART MCI Bags™ to all front line EMS vehicles.
Central Ohio Trauma System (COTS)
Taking in major cities including Columbus, SMART Equipment was standardised throughout the region.
North Carolina
North Carolina has mandated the SMART Incident Command System as their standard MCI system. The equipment went live in the spring of 2008.
Tennessee
In October 2008 TN adopted SMART equipment. Statewide training was conducted with
eight Train the Trainer sessions across the state.
Europe
England
London Ambulance Service implemented the SMART Incident Command System™ in January 2001. It was trialled successfully and is now a part of their standard equipment.

Scotland
Following the incidents in summer 2007, where terrorists attempted attacks including Glasgow Airport, the Scottish Ambulance Service reviewed their major incident response and alongside the rest of the UK chose the SMART Incident Command System™ to improve their response and ultimately save lives.
Ireland
SMART Equipment has been adopted by a wide range of organisations with responsibilities for casualty care at the scene of a major incident. These include: Dublin Fire Brigade, Irish Red Cross, Department of Defence, HSE West Ambulance Service, HSE South East Ambulance Service.
The Netherlands
Following a successful EU tendering process the SMART Incident Command System™ was adopted in 2006 and implemented country wide in 2007.
All Dutch ambulances and Hospitals are now equipped and a nation wide training program has been implemented.
Norwegian Army
Since 2001, the SMART Tag™ has been used in a variety of operations around the world, including Kosovo and Afghanistan. We have supplied the well known Telemark battalion.
Sweden
Since 1999, we have been developing a Swedish language version of the SMART Incident Command System™ in collaboration with the Pre Hospital and Disaster Medicine Centre PKMC. It is now in use in Stockholm and Gothenburg Emergency services as well as with the Swedish Military including the Nordic Battle Group.
Portugal
SMART Equipment™ was first adopted by a number of Portuguese hospitals as part of their planned response to the large crowds watching the 2004 European Football Championship held throughout Portugal.
Belgian Army
Following the Israeli-Lebannon conflict of recent years, Belgian military personnel were utilized as peacekeepers along the frontier. Given the hazardous nature of the deployment as regards to potential disasters, the Belgian army equipped itself with the world leading SMART Incident Command System™.
Czech Republic
TSG Associates LLP has been supplying SMART Equipment™ to the Czech military for their BATLS courses. BATLS - Battlefield advanced trauma life support - courses are widely regarded as pre-eminent training for those involved in dealing with battlefield casualties.
Italian Army
Elements of the Italian air force that are deployed to catastrophes around the world trialed and tested various incident management systems before selecting SMART Incident Command System™ in 2005.
Finland
The Finnish Army are currently using SMART Equipment™ in the Nordic Battalion, a multi national peacekeeping force based in Norway, ready for worldwide deployment.
Iceland
TSG Associates Ltd recently supplied the Icelandic language version of the SMART Incident Command System™. Statewide implementation has occurred following a number of 'train the trainer' sessions.
